You know I'm one to post self related shouts to my own shit so here's another treat for y'all. 2nd Coming is a band I've been rocking with for a few years now and they are most proficient in doing live covers of popular Hip-Hop and R&B tracks. This past Saturday I hosted/performed with the crew at Jersey City's Grand Banks. This is part one of the footage which include covers of the following:
"Go" by Common
"Superstar" by Lupe Fiasco
"Doo Wop (That Thing)" and "Everything Is Everything" by Lauryn Hill
"Gimme That" by Chris Brown

About guerrilla::words
guerrilla::words info:
Founded in 2002 by poet Brian Buno and DJ Kuttin Kandi of 5th Platoon, g::w's open mic in the East Village is now the longest free monthly showcase in NYC. General Manager, Encite oversees most of the showcases, while Brian Buno returned in 2006 as master of ceremonies. Throughout the years artists that have contributed to the cause range from names such as: DJ Neil Armstrong, Immortal Technique, Wordsworth, Percee P, DMC World Champion I-Emerge, Pumkinhead, Rax 1, Audio Assault, 84, Organic Thoughts, Loer Velocity, Oktober, Doujah Raze, Chan, Substantial, Fresh Daily, Naturel, Fortilive, and more... The core group of individuals who put in a helping hand for this non profit showcase individually grew to their own success as well. Most notably former music director and producer, Illmind, who has scored tracks from underground heavyweights to present day music stars (i.e. 50 cent, Little Brother, Ghostface).
